ECHO Homeless Shelter - 462-3663
Everyone who comes to the meal center (at the first Baptist Church, 6370 Atascadero Ave close to the entrance to Atascadero High School) Mon-Fri, 4:30 pm - 6:30 will be offered a free warm meal, a screener will interview those wishing to spend the night at the shelter.
EOC Homeless Shelter - 781-3993
750 Orcut Road, San Luis Obispo - Shelter opens at 6:00 pm and provides accommodations including a bed, shower facilities, hot evening meal and a breakfast to the homeless.
HOUSING AUTHORITY - 543-4478
The Housing Authority administers a variety of programs for the provision of affordable housing for those who are eligible. Housing Choice Voucher Program - This program enables qualified persons to rent privately owned safe and sanitary housing at rents based on income. Tenant Based Rental Assistance Program - A similiar program to the voucher program but uses funds from the SLO Supportive Housing Consortium and the Department of Social Services.
PEOPLE SELF-HELP HOUSING - 781-3088
Provides affordable housing for low and moderate income families, elderly, handicapped and farm workers. Programs include "Sweat Equity Home Ownership" and Apartment subsidies for seniors, families, farm workers and persons with physical and developmental disabilities.
